"Experience is Key"

 Darpan Varshney

A passionate Chemical Engineering student from Maharashtra, India lives by the statement, "Experience is Key"

Varshney is an aspiring Chemical Engineer on his route to success, and was kind enough to spare some time with us, to be a resource for upcoming Chemical Engineers everywhere.
Varshney is currently in his final year of engineering to bag that bachelors degree which will set his foundation in stone. Hailing from a family string of Chemical engineers, he felt it was only natural to take the path that was trusted the most. Darpan is fully aware of the immense scope the field holds, and the proportional amounts of hard work that goes into it, but his steady and optimistic mindset never set him back and only pushed him forward, as he aspires to keep pursuing Chemical Engineering for his future too. His passion has even driven him to be the President of "DHRUVA"- the astronomy club in his institute.
Of course, achievements just like money never falls from trees. Darpan worked hard for this role, just as he did with his very own research paper which was published not too long ago. He is also a member of IIChE, the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Regardless of being such a young, yet accomplished Engineer, one of Varshney's highlighted advice was to explore the world a little. Apart from Chemical Engineering, its important to be well equipped with skills like networking, communication and writing which will not only help you stand out from the crowd but also gives you a worldly perspective of the grand scheme of things.
Darpan also encouraged the coming engineers to always try gaining some industrial experience, regardless of how small the role may be- as this could go a long way. Varshney also advices the youth to always understand what you're getting into, no matter what the concept may be. It may seem as though its too theoretical, but its practical application could have required your full attention from day one.
We're undoubtedly looking forward to hearing about Darpan's future accomplishments and ventures,  and We'll also have another detailed post that describes our whole conversation with this dynamite of an Engineer!
